Our second and final reccy before we do the block was a relaxing trip to Evans Head in Northern New South Wales. Staying at the caravan park didn't really test our equipment but it was more about having a good time with great friends. School was a pupil free day on Monday sobwe made a long weekend of it, and it was worth every second of it, giving us a chane to step away fron the somewhat stressful preparation for the trip.
With 8 boys under 9 years of age the caravan park and beach was crawling with little men. Boogie boarding and surfing, bike and scooter races, building hideouts and constructing bows and arrows was just the appetizer!
The boys all had a chance to head up the Evans River and put the pots out. While the catch wasnt huge we managed to get enough in for nibblies in the shadow of The Gator.
Great times!
